There are times when you are on top of your “game”. Like, controlling your weight, being organized, or keeping up socially. However, just as there are some highs in life, there is also some lows. Like not feeling your best, because you got off your routine of self care, or isolating yourself instead of socializing. Ugh, it’s the worst, when you don’t feel your best. Have you ever had to go to an event but just hope your mood would just stabilize itself until you got through it? If only I would have stuck with my routine I would be looking and feeling great, but that’s not the case, so what do I do? Do I fake it till I make it? Accept this as my normal, or love the whole beautiful mess I am. I say, why not all three? Sometimes you have to just do it, thank you Nike for that phrase, it is like you’re practicing to become the change you want to see. To fully accept something is to accept it as a whole, so yes this might be your normal but you are also progressing. And lastly, it is so easy to fantasize about some else completely accepting and loving us and all our flaws but when it comes to us doing that for ourselves, it can be quite challenging. So, celebrate your “wins” whether great or small and know that ruts are just a part of life, don’t take it personal.
Get out the rut
